A sideways cellphone video collage that begins at dusk and goes into the darkest night. Featuring many uninterrupted minutes of nighttime travel as well as surreal auditory and visual interruptions. A video meant to put you to sleep and give you sweet and radical dreams.
Viewers had access to a large binder full of reference images and texts. They ranged from familiar books and poems (Maurice Sendak, Wallace and Gromit, Frog and Toad, and Robert Louis Stevenson), film stills (such as The Red Shoes), found illustrations (medieval drawings of the universe, drawings from a 50’s Japanese fireworks catalog), literary (No Exit by Jean-Paul Satre), to contemporary art (Hilma Af Klimt, Ree Morton, and Phyllida Barlow).
